LIVING FOR CHRIST BRINGS DIVISION

49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! 51 Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. 52 For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. 53 Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”  Luke 12:49-53

Division - When a group is divided, it means they disagree on a matter. Some believe one thing and others believe something different.

Living in Alabama I see those car tags time for time that say "House Divided" having Alabama on one side and Auburn on the other. Praise God everyone in my house pulls for the same team so our house is not divided. On a more serious note there are people who live in divided households.  Family members who live for Christ and family members who don't.  I'm thankful that I was raised in a Christian household.  It can be very hard on someone who is living for Christ when no one else in their house does. We don't want to face division, but at some point in your Christian walk you will have to face it on some level.
As Christians we have to learn how to live for Christ boldly no matter what everyone else around us is doing. When you are sold out for Christ some people may call you names like Fanatic, Holy Roller, ect. You should not get down when this happens.  Jesus tells us in John 15:18-19 that the world will hate you because they hated him first.

As Christians we are to love and pray for our friends and family that haven't accepted Christ.  You may face rejection and even lose friends.  Don't hold your head down when this happens.  God can and will send you new friends so keep your head up.  I have lost friends because they want to party, get drunk, drugs, ect.  However I don't worry about people who don't love and support me.  I'm not perfect by any means but all of my friends and family know where I stand.  What I stand for is in my name. That's the reason I put Evangelist before my first name.  It's not something that I do, but it's who I am!  I am a child of the living God and I made my mind up a long time ago that I'm living my life for Christ!  That's the most important decision you'll have to make in this lifetime.  While living for Christ you may lose friends, and family may turn their noses up to you, but so what!!  As long as you have King Jesus everything else will take care of itself.

I love you in the LORD and God bless!!!
